Alva’s Education Foundation is hosting its renowned job fair, Alva’s Pragati 2025, on Friday and Saturday at Vidyagiri, Moodbidri. The 15th edition of this event boasts over 16,000 job vacancies and participation from 305 recruiters, making it one of South India’s largest multi-sectoral job fairs. With 11,509 candidates already registered online, more applicants are expected to register on-site. This year, an innovative AI-based chatbot will assist candidates by providing real-time job suggestions through a QR code scan. Attendees will receive a comprehensive guidebook featuring company profiles and available positions. Free lodging is provided for outstation participants, along with transport for ITI and diploma students. Candidate help centres will be operational throughout the venue. Leading up to the fair, job awareness camps were held in eight constituencies, benefiting over 2,500 young job seekers. The event will be inaugurated by Dinesh Gundu Rao, the Minister in charge of Dakshina Kannada, at 9:30 AM on Friday.
