Google’s Pixel devices have appealing hardware, but the growing focus on AI, particularly with Gemini, can be off-putting for some users. If you’re fed up with Gemini’s presence, there are multiple ways to reclaim your Pixel phone. Start by removing Gemini from your app drawer through Settings. Although disabling it is straightforward, the power button still activates Gemini by default. To change this, go to Settings > System > Gestures > Press & Hold Power Button, and switch it to Power Menu. For fans of Google Lens, you can disable the Circle to Search feature by navigating to Settings > System. If you find Magic Cue unnecessary, access it in Settings to toggle off its features. Lastly, to hide the Gemini icon in Google Messages, go to Messages settings and disable the option. While you can minimize AI disruptions, some features remain, but they can generally be ignored.
