Notably, a separate case against Google highlights a chatbot that allegedly pushed a user toward suicide, while Character.ai faces claims linked to a teenager’s distress. The Attorneys General stressed the necessity for AI companies to prioritize children’s safety in their design choices, declaring, “You will be held accountable for your decisions.” They specifically addressed major AI players like Google, Meta, and OpenAI, reinforcing the importance of ethical responsibility in the development of AI technology.
