Vast Data Inc. is transforming from a storage provider to an AI infrastructure platform, showcasing this shift at its Forward 2026 conference. Key announcements include the launch of its AI Operating System, featuring a global control plane for hybrid and multicloud environments, a zero-trust framework for AI systems, and enhanced integration with Nvidia’s computing stack. Central to this evolution is Polaris, a Kubernetes-based control plane designed for seamless orchestration of Vast clusters across various environments, addressing operational challenges in AI deployments.

New services like PolicyEngine and TuningEngine aim to bridge the trust gap in enterprise AI. In partnerships with Nvidia, Vast launched CNode-X servers that enhance AI workload performance. Collaborations with TwelveLabs and CrowdStrike strengthen its ecosystem in video intelligence and cybersecurity. Vast’s extensive partner community, the Cosmos Community, is evolving to provide broader market access and support. The company recently surpassed $4 billion in software bookings, emphasizing its rapid growth and operational success.
