CoVet, an AI-powered clinical documentation platform, has partnered with Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to enhance veterinary education. Over the next 12 months, students, interns, and faculty will gain full access to CoVet’s scribing and co-pilot tools, facilitating informed decision-making and integrating AI into veterinary practices. CoVet aims to ease the burden of clinical documentation, enabling veterinarians to concentrate on patient care. According to a study by Digitail and the American Animal Hospital Association, nearly 40% of veterinary professionals already utilize AI, highlighting its benefits in productivity and efficiency. However, concerns about AI reliability, data security, and privacy persist. This collaboration will provide thorough onboarding and support for seamless integration with existing systems at CSU. As emphasized by CSU leaders, the partnership underscores the importance of using technology to augment, rather than replace, human expertise in veterinary care.
