Visa has launched six AI-powered dispute resolution tools aimed at enhancing merchant, issuer, and acquirer efficiency while reducing costs and fraud. As Andrew Torre, Visa’s President of Value-Added Services, emphasized, these tools offer essential visibility that helps businesses focus on customer service and innovation. Key offerings include the Visa Dispute Resolution Network for early dispute resolution, the Visa Dispute Recovery Manager for automation, and Order Insight/Compelling Evidence 3.0 to prevent unnecessary disputes. Issuers and acquirers benefit from Dispute Intelligence, the Dispute Doc Analyzer, and Visa Dispute Case Manager for streamlined workflows. As disputes escalate, industry experts warn that companies using outdated manual processes risk losing revenue and incurring higher costs. With Visa managing 106 million disputes in 2025 (a 35% increase since 2019), the forecast points to a global chargeback rise, potentially costing $42 billion by 2028. Businesses must adapt to avoid financial losses tied to fraudulent activities.
