Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath’s Directive for Policing Strengthens Law Enforcement with AI
On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mandated the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology to dismantle “internationally funded religious conversion rackets.” At the Police Manthan 2025 session, he reinforced a zero-tolerance stance on cybercrime, social media misuse, and organized crime. Emphasizing strict social media monitoring, Adityanath urged swift action against content that incites communal unrest or hatred. He expressed concerns over anti-national elements exploiting social platforms and instructed authorities to target fake accounts and disinformation campaigns.
Highlighting security threats along borders with Pakistan and Nepal, he called for a robust counter-terrorism framework utilizing tech advancements. The CM recognized recent police initiatives against narcotics and cow smuggling, calling for a more aggressive approach against masterminds. The conference focused on integrating technology-led, intelligence-driven policing to maintain peace in Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the importance of coordinated enforcement strategies.
