The upgraded Siri will utilize a custom Gemini model on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute servers, allowing it to answer personal queries, such as finding book recommendations based on user data. This new architecture features three components: a query planner, knowledge search system, and summarizer, all designed to enhance Siri’s capabilities without compromising user privacy.
The knowledge search component will allow Siri to address general knowledge questions efficiently, moving beyond basic web searches. While Google’s contributions will be significant, Apple aims to brand this AI technology authentically as its own, maintaining a seamless user experience.
