Cloudflare now offers an extensive API with over 100 products and nearly 3,000 HTTP API operations, increasingly utilized by developers and coding agents to build and configure applications. The entire API is accessible via a streamlined Code Mode MCP server and a revamped Wrangler CLI, which aims to provide commands for all Cloudflare products. Currently in Technical Preview, the new CLI (npx cf or npm install -g cf) supports a limited subset of products, with plans to expand its functionality. The development team is also rethinking their command generation pipeline by implementing a new TypeScript schema for better consistency across various interfaces, addressing the need for user-friendly commands and clear outputs. Additionally, the Local Explorer feature allows agents to interact with local resources directly, enhancing local development without extra setup. Users are encouraged to share feedback and ideas to shape the future of Cloudflare’s CLI tools.
