Hancom Inc. has announced a significant policy change, mandating that all employees utilize artificial intelligence (AI) agents in their daily tasks starting next year. This initiative, led by CEO Kim Yeon-soo, aims to integrate AI across all departments—including software development, planning, marketing, human resources, and finance—enhancing operational efficiency and skill development. Recently, Hancom’s teams identified effective AI tools tailored to various roles, with applications in finance for tax reviews and cash flow forecasting, and in marketing for data analysis and content creation. The HR department uses AI to evaluate organizational culture. To support this transition, the company has established AI usage guidelines and may introduce incentive programs. Hancom also prioritizes data security with safeguards like DPA verification and compliance protocols. This approach is intended to foster a culture where AI handles routine tasks, allowing employees to focus on creativity and value generation, ultimately transforming the organization into an “AI testbed.”
