The research project focuses on enhancing the scalability and sustainability of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) in rural development through AI-driven and digital decision support tools. Despite their effectiveness in controlled settings, EBIs often face challenges in real-world applications due to local variations and resource constraints. This study aims to assess how digital tools like mobile apps, dashboards, and chatbots can improve decision-making and monitor EBI implementation. It also explores automation and tele-solutions to efficiently scale interventions while ensuring ongoing relevance and effectiveness. Another key objective is to investigate AI-powered personalization of interventions based on user needs and community-specific factors. The project evaluates key implementation outcomes, such as acceptability, feasibility, scalability, and sustainability, guided by an implementation science approach. Leading the project are experts including Dr. Srividya Sheshadri and Dr. Victoria Ustenko, among others. This initiative promises to transform rural development practices by utilizing innovative technology solutions.
