Manifold, an innovative AI detection and response platform focused on securing autonomous AI across enterprise endpoints, has successfully secured $8 million in seed funding. This funding round was led by Costanoa Ventures, with contributions from Cherry Ventures, Rain Capital, and Modern Technical Fund, alongside prominent angel investors such as former Uber CSO Joe Sullivan and ex-Google DeepMind CISO Vijay Bolina.
The company’s groundbreaking agentic AI Detection and Response (AIDR) system addresses the escalating security risks posed by coding agents, which 85% of developers now use. As AI integration expands, Manifold highlights that existing security tools fail to monitor agent activities effectively, leaving significant vulnerabilities.
The new capital will enhance the AIDR platform, allowing enterprises to deploy agentic AI securely. Co-founders Neal Swaelens, Oleksandr Yaremchuk, and Michael McKenna emphasize the necessity of real-time visibility into AI agent behavior, ensuring robust security across production systems.
