Naver, the South Korean internet giant, reported a significant milestone, achieving annual revenue of 12.35 trillion won ($9.15 billion) for 2025, with a notable 12.1% increase from the previous year. Key drivers of this growth include the commerce and fintech sectors, alongside a strong focus on monetizing artificial intelligence (AI) services. During the fourth quarter, revenue rose by 10.7% to 3.20 trillion won ($2.37 billion). Noteworthy performance in commerce saw a 36% year-on-year increase. Naver’s CEO, Choi Soo-yeon, announced 2026 as the year for full-scale AI monetization, with plans for hyper-personalized AI agents and an “AI tab” in search results. The company also aims to enhance its cloud services and expand into the crypto market. Naver plans to return 25-35% of average consolidated free cash flow to shareholders from 2025 to 2027, enhancing transparency by reorganizing revenue disclosures into focused segments.
