For a limited time until May 31, subscribers will enjoy up to ten times the Codex usage compared to ChatGPT Plus, making it ideal for ambitious development projects. While the $20 Plus plan remains for everyday users, the new Pro tier targets more consistent usage. OpenAI is also focusing on integrating its various tools into a desktop ‘superapp’ that combines ChatGPT, Codex, and Atlas AI. Amid this strategic shift, OpenAI is pausing other initiatives, including its Sora video generator, while responding to growing competition in the AI coding market.
