Samsung and Google have reinforced their partnership by integrating Gemini AI features into Samsung’s foldable devices, specifically the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. At the recent Samsung Unpacked event, Google’s senior VP, Rick Osterloh, unveiled Gemini-powered functionalities, including enhanced Circle to Search with an AI Mode that allows for image-based queries in a chatbot interface. The new Gemini Live feature facilitates screen and camera sharing for real-time search.
Additionally, a six-month free trial of Google AI Pro is available for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 users, granting access to advanced tools like Veo 3 and Gemini 2.5 Pro. This announcement aligns with Samsung’s wider strategy to incorporate AI across its devices, as seen in the recent Galaxy AI enhancements for the S25 series, which offer personalized assistance. These latest features are integrated within Samsung’s Android One UI 8, built on Google’s Android 16, showcasing innovation in foldable technology.
