Kipras Vitas, a sophomore computer science student at UCF, recently launched UniShare, an innovative AI-powered studying app designed to streamline resource sharing and study group formation. Currently utilized by over 550 students, UniShare allows users to upload coursework, notes, and lectures, while generating quizzes and flashcards from multimedia sources. Users can earn IQ points—convertible to cash, with monetization requiring a minimum of 10 resource uploads. While the app lacks an anonymous feature, plans are underway to introduce one, promoting increased user contributions. Created during a Knight Hacks project, UniShare initially aimed at enhancing online collaboration but has since evolved into Vitas’s full-time endeavor. He envisions future expansions to more universities and a transition to a self-sustaining AI model. Meanwhile, student feedback highlights a desire for integration with Canvas Webcourses, emphasizing UniShare’s potential as an essential academic tool.
