Ukrainian citizens can now easily obtain their official income certificates through the AI-powered chat assistant on Diia, the nation’s digital public services portal. This advancement makes Ukraine the first country globally to implement an AI agent that directly facilitates user requests via a chat interface, distinguishing it from existing systems in countries like Estonia and Singapore. Diia.AI not only streamlines the request for income certificates but also guides citizens through various public services tailored to their individual needs. For instance, users can report home damage and receive instructions for compensation applications through the eRecovery service. Digital Minister Mykhailo Fedorov expressed the government’s ambition to evolve Diia into a comprehensive AI service, eliminating unnecessary forms and providing round-the-clock assistance. Future plans include expanding Diia.AI to a mobile app and integrating additional services, while the Ministry of Digital Transformation continues to roll out other digital initiatives like electronic signatures and improved access to legal documents.
