Over 107 groups, including the Internet Watch Foundation, have endorsed a declaration titled “Global Voices United: No to Nudification,” emphasizing that these AI nudification tools have no legitimate purpose and are often misused to create non-consensual sexual images. Children, particularly vulnerable victims, are targeted, with manipulated images of minors circulating online. The declaration calls for legal accountability for companies developing these technologies and criminal penalties for creating and distributing AI-generated sexual content. Urging lawmakers to implement global regulations within the next two years, the statement highlights the urgent need for restrictions to protect minors from AI-enabled sexual exploitation. Support from child protection organizations further reinforces the demand for immediate action to ensure the safety and dignity of children online.
