YouTube introduced innovative AI tools and strategic partnerships at the Impact Summit in New Delhi on November 17, emphasizing its commitment to India’s digital learning and creator ecosystems. A recent Oxford Economics report highlighted that YouTube’s creative economy contributed over ₹16,000 crore to India’s GDP and generated around 930,000 jobs.
New collaborations include a partnership with the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) to foster talent in animation, gaming, and visual effects, alongside collaborations with AIIMS’ College of Nursing to enhance professional medical training. These initiatives focus on industry-led workshops and digital learning to advance skills and opportunities.
YouTube also launched a conversational AI tool that enhances user interaction within videos, available in English with future Hindi support. Additionally, new creator tools, including Edit with AI and a likeness detection feature, aim to protect creators from unauthorized content. YouTube remains dedicated to supporting economic growth and responsible online experiences in India’s evolving digital landscape.
